The Wright Place Turning One, Will Host Anniversary Celebration
One year ago, the Dayton area's newest member of the local food movement was The Wright Place. The full-service restaurant and lounge located at the newly renovated Holiday Inn Dayton/Fairborn has since become a popular community spot for seasonal food and drink. In celebration of its year-in milestone, Executive Chef Justin White will host a special celebration on Thursday, July 27th from 5 pm to 8 pm.
Open to the public, the One-Year Anniversary Party at the Wright Place will feature a complimentary mix of food stations and passed hors d'oeuvres off the new summer menu that's making its debut. There will be also be complimentary beer and wine tastings, as well as Stillwright's (local distillery) on hand pouring bourbon. An acoustic duo will set the tone for the celebratory evening with live music.
Examples of seasonal menu offerings off the new menu that may be highlighted at the One-Year Anniversary Party include:
- Trio of taco's; chorizo, chicken and fried fish with slaw.
- Hand battered fish with beer vinegar and house made slaw and fresh chips
- Greek wrap with marinated vegetables with feta and Greek vinaigrette.
- Lasagna cheese roll ups with fresh basil (from the Wright Place garden), marinara, fried eggplant and Parmesan cheese.
More about The Wright Place:
The 140-seat restaurant and lounge has an innovative farm fresh, American menu direction as well as a design scheme that both pays homage to the inspiration and history of aviation. Taking a design cue from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the award-winning hospitality architectural team of O'Kelly+Kasprak was inspired by the iconic images of flight and the Wright Brothers. They created a space in The Wright Place that perfectly translates the modern take on turn of the century aviation influence. Executive Chef Chef Justin White incorporates products sourced from local farms, breweries and distilleries into his seasonal menu execution.
